A snowboarder was going about his day, shredding some slopes at the Heavenly Mountain Resort near south Lake Tahoe when suddenly, a bear came out of left field and slammed into him. Another snowboarder got the whole thing on video, and the footage gets crazier every time you watch it. Many people are concerned about the bear, which seems to disappear after it collides with the snowboarder (who was uninjured).

“#SundayFunday at Heavenly and it’s a PERFECT day for shredding the slopes,” wrote @monsterbathz in his Instagram post sharing the bizarre video. “Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, Boo-Boo came sprinting across the trail—guess he’s on the hunt for Yogi Bear!”
Heavenly Mountain Resort is a ski resort on the California–Nevada border. It’s in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range and near Lake Tahoe. It’s black bear territory, too. In the footage, you can clearly see the bear approaching the snowboarder, but after they tumble and the snow clears, the bear is gone.
“Did the bear evaporate?” asks one commenter.
Several other people make similar comments, and as you watch and rewatch, it is bizarre how quickly the bear exits the scene. So quickly, in fact, that you never see it again.
In reply to a comment in a follow-up video, @monsterbathz states that the person involved in this collision was not hurt and they still don’t know what happened to the bear.

We assume the bear just continued running from right to left and then off screen, but isn’t weird that you can’t see it?
