Cocktails for a Night Under the Stars

Camping Cocktails: Ending and Beginning

Sadly, summer is winding down, but it’s not too late to experiment with some fun summer activities! Take star gazing for instance. There’s nothing more peaceful than spending a night looking deep into the night sky to see thousands of sparkling stars. Pair that with great camping cocktails, friends, family or your special someone and you’ve got yourself one perfect summer night. We suggest bringing a blender full of Big Blue Sky. It won’t disappoint!

Big Blue Sky

September can still serve up some days that feel downright tropical. Well here’s a cocktail to match … both the tropical weather and that deep blue, cloudless September sky.
Recipe type: Drinks

Ingredients
  • ½ oz Blue Curacao Liqueur
  • ½ oz light rum
  • ½ oz cream of coconut
  • 2 oz pineapple juice
  • 1 cup ice

Instructions
  1. Blend Ingredients in a blender until smooth. Serve in a red wine glass.

Hot Toddy (If it’s chilly out)

If your summer night isn’t feeling so much like summer, but you still want to get out to “oohh” and “ahhh” over those beautiful stars, try a hot cocktail! We’ve got the recipe for the most popular hot cocktail of them all. Plus, it works great if you’re feeling like your catching a cold too! It’s simple, yet so delicious.
Recipe type: Drinks

Ingredients
  • 4 oz boiled water
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (or to taste)
  • 2 oz whiskey
  • 1 tablespoon honey (or to taste)
  • 1 slice of lemon for garnish

Instructions
  1. Pour your whiskey into a microwavable mug, add the honey, pour the hot water into the mug, add the lemon juice and stir. Then, all you have to do is place the mug in the microwave for 1 minute or until it’s steamin’ hot! Garnish with a little lemon if you wish and enjoy the midnight sky under a nice big cozy blanket and a cup of Hot Toddy.
