Camping at Dead Horse Ranch State Park

Visitors to the Dead Horse Ranch State Park who choose to camp there have a choice of bringing their RV, staying in a tent or a cabin. More than 100 of the camp sites can accommodate RVs. For those who would prefer to stay in a cabin, the Dead Horse Ranch State Park has eight cabins available for rent, each of which includes one bedroom. The cabins are found in a remote section of the park away from the RV camping sites. Every cabin has both heat and air conditioning available. They are furnished with a ceiling fan, tables and chairs, a full sized bed as well as a bunk bed.

The RV camping sites of Dead Horse Ranch State Park has four loops; the Blackhawk, Quail, Cooper’s Hawk and Red Tail Loops. Blackhawk is where visitors will find non-electric camp sites that accommodate tent campers. Quail houses 43 campsites, one of which is ADA accessible.

The Dead Horse Ranch State Park boasts many hiking, biking and equestrian trails. Visitors can also go fishing or rent a kayak or canoe. Motorized watercrafts are not permitted to be used in the park.

Dead Horse Ranch State Park Hours
The regular park hours are 8 am to 10pm. Seasonal hours are announced at the appropriate times of the year.

Dead Horse Ranch State Park Fees
The entrance fee is $7 per car or $3 per person.
