Minus 33 Merino Wool Hoodie Review

My name is Nick, and I’m addicted to hooded, zippered sweatshirts. I affectionately refer to them as “hoodies”. Last month my “problem” escalated to such an extreme level, that my wife forced me to the store to purchase a new wardrobe closet just to house my collection. Although I’m attempting humor – all of this is true. When I was given the opportunity to test out the Minus 33 Merino Wool Hoodie, everyone in the office knew that this review was designed for me. The first thing that I noticed when taking the hoodie out of the package was the weight and attention to details. Merino wool is a hefty material to begin with, and this garment definitely weighs more than any other in my new wardrobe. Considering that it’s been in the -9 degree fahrenheit range here in Minnesota for the past few weeks, the weight is not only appreciated, it’s definitely needed. The small details really stand out on this piece. I’m a sucker for a zipper garage – and the Minus 33 hoodie has one of the best I’ve ever worn. It keeps the zipper off your chin when zipped all the way up. The inner lining is fleeced and soft. I traditionally wear a simple t-shirt under a hoodie during the winter – and the lining is comfortable and cozy. The cuffs of the sleeves are longer than an average hoodie, and feature thumbholes to pull the sleeves over the tops of you hands. Overall, this is an amazing hoodie. If you’re looking to add some merino wool to your outerwear wardrobe – this is a great fitting, warm piece. I’m hesitant to say it, as I don’t want to offend the other pieces in my closet – but this is probably my new favorite.
