Woodchuck Limited Release Summer Cider

Summer is here, which means filling my cooler with more refreshing, light brew.

I cracked a few cans of Woodchuck Limited Release Summer Cider last weekend at the cabin and was not disappointed! I usually only have one or two ciders before moving on to an IPA or something else. However, I have to say that Woodchuck’s Summer Cider didn’t overwhelm with sweetness. It’s has a very nice finish, and wasn’t as sweet as the Woodchuck Amber. There is also a nice hint of blueberry, which I personally enjoyed very much.

It’s always been my opinion that cider needs to be really cold, and this was no exception. Once it warms up a little, the sweetness overwhelms. A few friends opted to have their Woodchuck Limited Release Summer on ice and loved it.

Verdict: A great cider. Not too sweet, and the blueberry notes were not overwhelming. Perfect for a sweltering summer day.
