In a scenario that seems impossible for the lone defender, the lone defender puts up one heck of a fight. Home security footage from last summer has people online shocked, because one single raccoon manages to take on five coyotes in someone’s backyard, and now we’re all properly scared of raccoons.

In the video, there’s a bunch of snarling, and then a coyote looks like it’s thrown across the screen. By what, you ask? By a raccoon, that’s what. Then the raccoon comes into view, and the real show begins. The coyotes repeatedly pounce on the raccoon, and it throws them off with a snarl straight from the underworld. At one point, all five of the coyotes have the raccoon encircled, but by this point, they’re all a little weary to strike. It’s mind boggling.
