A shocking video shows a massive, 30-ton whale breaching and then splashing back down into the water near some people in the water. Underwater photographer Álvaro Herrero shared the video (although he did not take it), and it attracted over 13 million views on Instagram.

Herrero credits the video to his friend Ben. He doesn’t provide much context or any location information, but he wrote in the caption: “When a 30-ton whale almost landed on us.”

The footage shows a huge humpback whale leaping out of the water, spinning mid-air, and then crashing back into sea, before diving out of sight. Herrero and his friend Ben were a little too close for comfort, and they got hit with a massive wave of water. The camera then shows an underwater view as the whale swims away.
“This is a breathtaking video,” wrote one person in the comments section.
“Every once in awhile it’s nice to [remember] that this world still has giants,” wrote another.
