Don’t mess around with a mama bear. When a grizzly bear (a sow) started attacking another sow’s cubs, mama bear did not sit around and let it happen. She jumped in and fought the offending grizzly off, ultimately saving her offspring’s life. Video footage of the grizzly fight made it to Instagram, where many people are watching and feeling glad they’re safe at home.

“What a sow will do to protect her cubs. Volume all the way up for this one,” wrote Hayden Hassell in the Instagram post sharing the intense footage.

The attacking sow decided to go after the cub, according to Hassell, because it had been “antagonizing” her.
In a comment reply, Hassell wrote: “This was a mom that attacked a cub of anther mom. You can see the mom standing to the side and trying to jump in then it turns into just the 2 moms once the cub gets up. The cub had been antagonizing her and the mom decided to attack at the cub instead of the mom.”
