A video has gone viral after it depicts the hilarious relationship an emu has with her two owners. With her Mom she has a love-hate relationship. That tense relationship is mainly due to the fact that this emu is obsessed with her Dad, the woman’s husband. See how hilariously close this clingy emu is with her dad.

Clingy Emu Is Obsessed With Her Dad
This has to be one of the funniest things I have seen in a while, although I am sure Alesja disagrees. Alesja shared the story and the footage with The Dodo about how she now has a “sister-wife” relationship with this emu.
She and her husband rescued this emu with the purest intentions, but I am sure neither of them expected her to get so attached. The clingy emu follows her Dad around all day long. “If females are around, and that includes my wife,” the husband joked, “she (the emu) is always trying to get in the middle.”
While she is loving and obsessive with her Dad, the emu is quite venomous with her mom. The video clip shows constant scenes of the emu trying to attack Alesja. “She hates my guts,” she joked. “She knows that I am his wife, and she just hates me.”
Emu Braves A Pond To Be Near Dad
This love-obsessed relationship runs so deep that nothing stops this clingy emu from being near her one true love. Once Aphrodite realized that her father was on the other side of the pond, she could not bear it. Rather than wait for him to come back, she took matters into her own hands.
She plunged into the water and swam across the pond, never satisfied until she was reunited with him. “Aphrodite, no man is worth drowning for!” her mom joked for the safety of the shore. Although it is adorable and humorous, Aphrodite’s love obsession can make work at the farm a bit challenging.
Alesja’s husband shared that he “cannot even do certain activities on the farm” because of her clingy nature. However, it seems like they both love her despite her over-attached personality. Even Mom admits she loves this emu, despite the emu’s hatred towards her.
