Tourists on a Natural Habitat Adventures excursion to the Pantanal in Brazil got to see exactly what a jaguar can hunt and why these big cats are the kings of this extensive tropical-wetland ecosystem. A video shows a jaguar dragging a large caiman along the side of the river, and the animal is about to enjoy a very large meal.

“A jaguar after a successful hunt in Brazil’s Pantanal—regarded as one of the best places in the world to look for wild jaguars!” wrote Natural Habitat Adventures in an Instagram post sharing the footage.

People in the comments section are impressed and a little shocked at what they just watched.
“This Jaguar isn’t that big compared to the [caiman] but the cat went for the jugular vein. Nature’s design!” wrote one person.
