“When two bald eagles became entangled mid-air while fighting, locking their talons together before free‑falling onto a power line, our crews acted fast by safely de‑energizing the line to create the conditions for a rescue,” wrote BC Hydro in an Instagram post sharing footage of the rescue. “@surreyfirefighters responded and worked with @owlrehab, bringing an OWL member up by ladder to carefully free the birds. Once their talons were separated, both eagles took off right away—uninjured.”
