A raccoon with a spinal deformity is going viral for being different. “Jimothy” the raccoon lives in Seattle, Washington, and he likely has short spine syndrome, a rare genetic condition in which an animal’s vertebrae compress and fuse together during fetal development.

Kiana Hall captured footage of the unique animal and shared it on her Instagram account. She says in the video: “What am I looking at?!”

Since Hall’s video has gone viral, more Seattle residents have begun sharing their footage of “Jimothy,” a name Hall came up with. Apparently, he was already a local legend among some circles, and now he’s an international sensation.
