News 4 San Antonio recently shared footage of floodwaters sweeping several deer away in Texas. What appears to be four deer, including one animal that looks quite young, manage to keep their heads above water as the water carries them downstream.

“AÂ dangerous flooding emergency is unfolding across Central and South Texas,” wrote News 4 in its Instagram post sharing the footage. “Emergency crews have carried out more than 40 water rescues as relentless rain swamps communities, rivers rise at alarming rates, and evacuation orders expand. The National Weather Service is warning of a ‘large and deadly flood wave’ moving down the Guadalupe River, while officials urge residents to move to higher ground and stay off flooded roads.”
Unfortunately, there is no information about what happened to these deer after they left the view of the person filming. Hopefully, they were able to find a safe exit point.
