A video is going viral online that shows several bystanders in British Columbia, Canada, trying to warn an elderly man about a black bear that’s right behind him. The elderly gentleman has a hard time understanding what the people across the street are saying to him. In his defense, the men aren’t clearly saying or yelling the word “bear.” Instead, they’re trying to get him to look behind him and/or cross the street toward them and away from the animal.

Quail guy shared the footage on Instagram, simply writing: “Close call.”

Thankfully, the man spots the bear and walks away without incident.
