While visiting a friend’s house in Santa Barbara, California, Sid Beck saw a bear outside in the yard, and a video of the group reacting to the bear is circulating online. The woman recording is shocked and excited as she captures footage of the animal just outside the glass door.

“Large bear outside a friend’s window just off the 154 on the ocean side of the mountains,” Beck wrote in his Instagram post sharing the video.
Several people note in the comments section that the black bear actually appears to be on the smaller side, but that’s not really the point. A bear of any size isn’t a normal backyard visitor for most people, and the woman’s excitement/shock is contagious.
