Camping at Doheny State Beach

Doheny State Beach is actually two different parks in one. There is camping available in the southern area of the park. Some of the campsites are only a few feet away from the beach. The northern area of the park is available for day use guests only.

Amenities at Doheny State Beach

The campsites at Doheny State Beach are all extremely primitive. The campsites offer their campers a comfort station, dump station, fire rings, a picnic area, showers, a restroom, and a telephone. Unfortunately, there are no hookups on any of the campsites. The park does have disabled access campsites for disabled campers as well.

Things to do at Doheny State Beach

Camping, swimming, and soaking up the sun on the beach are the three main reasons that people venture to Doheny State Beach. Fortunately, Doheny State Beach is a dog friendly beach so campers are welcomed and encouraged to bring their dogs with them when they come. Educational programs and nature programs are also regularly available at Doheny State Beach for children to enjoy.
