The nonprofit research and conservation organization is hiring for a principal investigator for the Elephant Collective Behaviour Project. In this role, the principal investigator will spearhead research initiatives using “cutting-edge video analysis tools to study elephant group dynamics.”

Sounds fascinating, right?

The position is a one-year renewable contract, and it’s based in Samburu National Reserve in northern Kenya. The principal investigator will work alongside other team members and other researchers around the globe to “deliver impactful scientific insights.”

Oh, and did we mention you get to fly drones? While working in Samburu National Reserve with accommodations in a “well-equipped research camp,” the successful candidate will have access to resources like drones to help conduct his or her research.

The job listing does not list a salary, but it does say it offers competitive compensation, comprehensive field support, 27 days of annual leave, and opportunities for career growth and ongoing professional development.

Candidates must have an advanced degree in a relevant field, experience with video-based research, and a history of published research in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
