A 20-year-old man has pleaded guilty to indecent exposure and more after a string of incidents last year on Colorado hiking trails. Law enforcement arrested Glenn Braden last August after he exposed himself to female hikers near the Beaver Brook Trail outside of Golden, Colorado. He’s been in custody since then.

Between April and August 2023 on hiking trails in Jefferson County, various reports suggest Braden hiked naked, “confronted female hikers and bikers and committed lewd acts,” slapped women on the backside, and, in one case, even tried to rip off a woman’s shirt. CBS News Colorado suggests the suspect originally faced 15 counts in 11 separate incidents. He has pleaded guilty to three.
CBS News says: “Braden told deputies that he would hike the mountain park trails and ‘purposely expose [himself] to women he met along the way.’ He also told investigators that ‘he didn’t remember much of what happened during these episodes because he would get very high on marijuana before hiking.'”
Though he says he did not try to remove any hikers’ clothing, Braden did say he exposed himself and slapped women on the backside. Braden also admits it’s possible he hiked naked a couple of times, but couldn’t remember specifically when.
Braden’s sentencing will be September 30.
