Mississippi River State Park – Marianna AK

Mississippi River State Park is in eastern Arkansas and is part of the St. Francis National Forest, which gives you over 22,000 acres to explore! From the primitive sites at Lone Pine Campground to the Class AAA RV sites at Beech Point Campground, the park accommodates every type of camper. The bathhouse at the latter offers private rooms shower rooms that we found to be clean and accommodating. The park contains plenty of hiking trails and even rents kayaks for guests wishing to venture out on the water. The discovery-based visitors center has interactive exhibits that the whole family will enjoy, and they often host educational programs across a wide variety of topics. It should be noted that St. Francis National Forest is the only national forest that touches the Mississippi River. Two docks offer excellent access to bream and bass fishing, and the visitor center has fishing rods you can check out in case you forgot yours or don’t own one at all. If you’re the type of camper that needs a lot to explore, Mississippi River State Park is an excellent choice.
