Marco Bassot’s idea of fun is not your average definition of fun. Bassot is an Italian snowboarder and mountain biker who does everything to the extreme—whether he’s in the snow or whether he’s on a bike. His latest video proves he’s still looking for new ways to terrify the rest of us with his first-person videos. Mission accomplished, Bassot.

The new video shows Bassot riding on a sliver of a ridge butted up against a steep mountain face. He’s somewhere in Italy’s Dolomite mountain range, which seems to be one of his favorite places to play. On the other side of this sliver of ridge is, well, nothing. There’s fog . . . and nothing else. We assume the drop would be deadly.
As he rides, Bassot exhales sharply and adds his own soundtrack made up of sounds like “whoa!” and “ah!” To be honest, hearing him say these things adds to the terror as a viewer.
“Touching the void on the most breathtaking trail of the Dolomites,” Bassot writes in the caption. “No mistake allowed. My heart on fire. The adrenaline chute is massive. I simply love it.”
