An adorable black bear cub tried to cross a creek near Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and it didn’t go perfectly, but it was a great first try. A viral video of the baby bear shows it taking its time on one side of the creek, trying to figure out the best way to get to the other side. Then, it leaps. It doesn’t make it across, but the baby bear is resilient and swims to the edge, then climbs to safety.

Elaine Blevins caught the moment on video and shared it on TikTok. People overwhelming seem to think it’s the cutest thing ever, and some wonder where the baby bear’s mom is. Blevins chimed in saying the mother bear was nearby.
