An Alaskan and outdoors enthusiast named Kristy shared a video of what appears to be a moose running on water back in 2020, and TikTok had a heyday. People started calling this animal the “Jesus moose,” and Kristy’s video is still making rounds online several years later.

In the video, a moose runs at break-neck speed alongside a boat. It appears to be running on very shallow water. Things get weird when the moose then runs across the river, and everyone watching is thinking, if that water is deep enough for a boat, why isn’t that moose crashing into the water? What’s going on here?
Commenters took no time to point out the divine connection.
“Oh he on Jesus mode,” says one person.
Others simply express their confusion, saying things like: “I need answers.”
Some people even claim it’s a fake video. Several folks point to the fact that the moose seems to disappear into thin air at the very end of the video.
One person (not Kristy) chimes in, saying: “This is real . . . this is in our village and our rivers are shallow in some areas. We drive jet motors that can go through 5” of water.”

In case you doubt the validity of Kristy’s video, here’s another video from her TikTok account showing three moose in a similar situation. In this case, though, the moose stay much closer to the edge of the water, making them appear less divine.
