Yosemite National Park is a national treasure. Unfortunately, everyone knows it. Summer is Yosemite’s busiest season in terms of visitation, and this summer is no exception, it seems. A Yosemite content creator recently posted a video showing the entrance traffic in the middle of the day, and it’s insane. Would you brave this line of cars for some scenic hikes?

“Forget Half Dome — try conquering this line first!” wrote Ando Arakelyan in his Instagram post sharing the video. “June 20, 2025 2pm Southgate Entrance.”
Arakelyan shares real-time park conditions from Yosemite year-round, and apparently last Friday around 2 PM was not the time to visit.
“I love Yosemite. But [I] would never wait in that line,” wrote one person in the comments section.
“Wow! Their process to enter is broke! I recommend they contact Chick-fil-A for help!” joked another.

Several people wonder what all of these people expected showing up after noon.
“Who tries to go in at 2PM?!? My gosh wake up early!” one person wrote.
Arakelyan’s video has over 2 million views and has sparked quite a debate. Many people blame the traffic on NPS staffing cuts. Others blame social media for making people want to visit national parks.
There were some in the comments section who note that their experience getting into Yosemite wasn’t nearly this bad, providing hope to others who plan to visit the park in the near future.
“I just drove in this Friday at the Groveland side gate, and there was only two cars in front of me,” shared one person.
