WATCH: Giant Snake Climbs a Tree in Australia

Have you ever seen a giant snake climb a tree? How do snakes climb without limbs, anyway? Well, thanks to a video from Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers, you can watch a rather large coastal carpet python maneuver its way up a tree trunk from the comfort of your own living room. It certainly doesn’t look easy.

“I have 4 limbs and I could probably only get about a metre up this tree before falling, this is not fair,” jokes the person behind the Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers Instagram account. “Anywayssss check out this absolute ripper of a Coastal Carpet Python making its up way up the tree during a release!”

Coastal carpet pythons (Morelia spilota) are common snakes in Australia, inhabiting a range of habitats, including woodlands and rainforests. They can grow to be up to 13 feet (4 meters) long.

“Arms and legs are overrated,” jokes one person in the comments section.
