When rumors started circulating online that multiple people had spotted a mountain lion in San Francisco, you had to see it to believe it. The videos went viral. It was true; there was a mountain lion in the city. Wildlife officials humanely captured and relocated the “wayward” mountain lion, but the videos of the animal at large are still racking up views.

Madrey Hilton was one person who spotted the large wild cat slinking around the California city. Her video was picked up widely by media outlets, and many people just couldn’t believe their eyes.
A second video of the lion came from a woman named Roxanne. She dared to stand outside of her vehicle to get footage of the mountain lion in the Cow Hollow neighborhood of San Francisco (warning: explicit language).
Officials were able to track the cougar down, and, after an “hours-long standoff,” they tranquilized it for relocation. See animal control’s post here:
