Wildlife photographer Martin Gregus has captured some absolutely incredible photos and videos of polar bears, but not how we’re used to seeing them. Typically, we see polar bears surrounded by snow and ice, but Gregus wanted to document what these majestic animals do during the summer. To find out, Gregus spend nearly 100 days in the remote Arctic.

Some of his most famous footage from the project includes polar bears lying comfortably among vibrantly colored flowers. It’s a far cry from the poignant images of polar bears poised on sea ice that we usually see, but it’s just as impactful.
