Janet Pesaturo is a conservation biologist and trail camera enthusiast who has placed several trail cams throughout her property in Montana. She recently posted a video to YouTube showing trail-cam footage of a cheeky skunk stashing some roadkill, a turkey carcass, in an unlikely place—a mountain lion den. Pesaturo’s video shows all the various animals that came along to snack on the roadkill.

Pasaturo told Cowboy State Daily that she’d never seen skunks cache their food like this one did. She said in her YouTube video description that animals like weasels, ravens, and bobcats all stole chunks of the skunk’s turkey feast, but by the time the mountain lion arrived, it was slim pickings. The mountain lion clearly knew other animals had been in its napping spot.
