Glacier National Park announced that all three visitors who fell into a gorge at Avalanche Creek survived the ordeal, thanks to hikers who pulled off an incredible rescue. Mike Skidmore, his brother, and his nephew jumped in to rescue two people who had fallen into the water. The Good Samaritans pulled the victims from the water and revived them using CPR.

Another bystander captured a video of the third person who fell in but was able to grab ahold of a branch and pull himself out of the fast-moving water. Rangers rappelled down to him and were able to get him out.
Apparently, a group of four visitors from Florida were gathering for a photo when one person slipped and fell in. Two others also slipped and fell into the water while attempting to help the first victim. The water swept all three away.

“Earlier tonight, on our hike back down from Avalanche Lake, we ran into an unfolding incident where 3 different individuals fell into the gorge and got swept down the falls,” wrote Dulé Krivdich in a Facebook post sharing the video. “We saw one clinging for life onto a fallen tree as rescue was repelling down to him as the other 2 individuals tumbled all the way to the bottom of the gorge.”
