A woman from the U.K. woke up in her rental home in Kissimmee, Florida and went outside after hearing a ruckus. There was a group of deer on the grass (apparently a family had been feeding them, even though there were signs saying not to), and there was an alligator there, too—watching, waiting in the grass next to a pond. To the observer’s horror, a woman then decides to shoo off the alligator . . . by throwing her shoe at it. But what happens next is an example of karma at its finest.

The person recording the now-viral video (Sarah Louise Martin) doesn’t agree with the woman’s decision to mess with the alligator. But, don’t worry, the alligator found its own way to fight back. It stole her shoe. The video has circulated widely, and the comments are a mix of Team Shoe Lady and Team Alligator.

“Let it be. You don’t interfere with stuff like this,” wrote one person on FOX35 Orlando’s post sharing the video.
“I’m glad she saved the deer!! This Floridian would have done the same,” wrote another person.
