A skier illegally using a speedwing (a device akin to a small paraglider) made a miscalculation and crashed at Mammoth Mountain, a ski resort in California. Another skier, who was riding on the lift, spotted the illegal activity, started recording, and ended up catching the crash on video. According to SFGATE, the paraglider was hospitalized for injuries after colliding with a tree on the slope.

In the video, you see the paraglider gliding down the slope, and you hear a “wooooo!” Then, unfortunately, the person collides with a tree and crumples into the snow. A representative from the ski resort didn’t release any additional details, but she told SFGATE that using a speedwing at the resort is a “violation of federal regulations.”
