Dog Makes An Unlikely Friend At The Beach
People Magazine shared the story of Meridith Ellis and her two-year-old poodle, Ash. The silver standard poodle loves the beach, but every time they went, Ellis noticed that his gaze was fixed on the waterline. As it turns out, he wasn’t just watching the waves. Instead, Ash was waiting for his new friend to come out and play.
A mother seal and her pup were waiting for Ash along the waterline. Ellis told the outlet that “seals and sea lions have been drawn to him [meaning Ash] since he was a pup.” However, this unlikely friendship seemed to run deeper than a mere fascination with one another. The friendship between the three started late spring last year and is still continuing today.
Ellis shared multiple videos on Ash’s TikTok detailing their many adorable encounters. In one particularly adorable video, Ellis shows Ash running along the rocky shoreline playing a game of what appears to be hide and seek with the seal. As he runs along the shoreline, the seal playfully pops her head in and out of the water. The video reads, “Ash and his favorite girl.”
