‘Strike a Pose’: Campers Film a Cougar in their Campsite

“Went camping to relax, almost met Jesus instead,” wrote chantlelouienna in a TikTok post sharing a video of a cougar chilling in her campsite near Harrison Lake in Canada. Although she was cracking jokes in her caption and sounds nonchalant about the visitor in her audio (e.g., she calls the mountain lion “beautiful” and tells it to “strike a pose”), the predator’s presence definitely altered the campers’ evening.

In a comment reply, chantlelouienna wrote: “I saw a shadowy figure coming towards us so i screamed and thought it was a coyote. Then it ran where it was on the video. Steak stayed on the cooler put back in the truck and had it for breakfast instead lol. Went to bed hungry.”
