A terrible accident recently claimed the lives of Andy Lewis, owner of BASE Jump Moab, and his client, Danny Joe Kregle. The two men were doing a tandem BASE jump within the Mineral Bottom Recreation Site in Moab, Utah, when something happened mid-air, and the men crashed to the ground. No specifics have been released about what exactly happened during the jump.

Lewis was well loved in the BASE jumping community. Notably, he performed live on a slackline at the 2012 Super Bowl with Madonna. After his death, many people who visited Moab just to tandem BASE jump with Lewis shared what an incredible guide he was.
Kregle was a beloved father and grandfather. He was 68 years old.
