A resting moose isn’t exactly what most of us expect to see on the side of the road, but in Canada’s Jasper National Park, it’s a possibility. Especially during rutting season, when moose, deer, and elk are the easiest to spot and photograph. At least, that’s according to Wildland Workshops & Photo Tours, who shared the video of a roadside resting moose on Instagram.

“Great spot to take a rest! (Don’t worry, he is not injured),” wrote Wildland Workshops & Photo Tours in the post. “It’s our all time favourite season . . . rutting season!!! The best time to photograph deer, elk and moose!”
