Camping in West Florida: Oscar Scherer State Park

Camping at Oscar Scherer State Park offers full-facility campsites for tent campers as well as RV campers. Primitive camping and youth camping sites are also available.

Amenities at Oscar Scherer State Park

All of the campsites at Oscar Scherer State Park are fully equipped with water and electric hookups. The sites have BBQ grills and picnic tables. Campfires are permitted on the campgrounds as long as campers use the ground grills that are provided to them. The restrooms are clean with hot showers and there are laundry facilities on site.

Things to do at Oscar Scherer State Park

Many activities while camping at Oscar Scherer State Park are offered including: bicycling, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and picnicking. There are three playgrounds in the park for your children to enjoy and five bath houses with showers for day visitors.

Oscar Scherer State Park is open from 8AM until the sun sets every day of the year.

Fees
Admission Fee:
$5.00 per vehicle (2 to 8 people)
$4.00 for single occupant vehicle (or motorcycle)
$2.00 per pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, or passengers in vehicle with Annual Individual Entrance Pass

Picnic Pavilion Rental Fee:
$30.00 per day (plus taxes) for a small pavilion
$60.00 per day (plus taxes) for a large pavilion

Camping Fees at Oscar Scherer State Park:
$26.00 per night (plus taxes)

Florida residents who are over the age of 65 years can qualify for a 50 percent discount. Proof of eligibility is required.

Youth Camping:
$1.00 per youth per night (plus taxes)
$5.00 per adult per night (plus taxes)
