Trail cameras capture wildlife in their element, away from prying human eyes. Recently in Orange County, California, a trail cam in an undisclosed location caught the peaceful moment a predator came to drink from an artificial watering hole. A male mountain lion lapped up some water in the middle of the night, unaware of the trail cam capturing his every move.

In the video, posted by Orange County Outdoors, the mountain lion looks just like a big house cat drinking from a big bowl. This mountain lion is apparently named “Newport,” and locals know of him and like to track his movements.
