Greg Joder of Tucson, Arizona captured an unusual moment on a trail cam—a screech owl dive bombing a raccoon, possibly in an act of revenge. Joder shared the footage on Instagram and YouTube, explaining that the raccoon at the watering hole had previously attempted to break into the owl’s house.

“The screech owls were still upset,” Joder wrote in his Instagram caption. He calls it a “comical scene.”
The moment itself happens so quickly, you’ll miss it if you blink at the wrong time. Thankfully, Joder slows the footage down for a replay after it first plays in realtime. Perhaps the moral of this story is that screech owls may be tiny, but they clearly don’t mess around.
