Several whale watchers recently got the chance to see a pod of orcas putting on an incredible show off the coast of California. The orcas surprised a pod of common dolphins and began hunting them, at times launching them in the air. To celebrate their success, the orcas began leaping—and this all happened right next to the boat.

“Orcas were feeding on Common Dolphins today and we got the hunt from beginning to end on film just feet away from [our] boat Ocean Spirit,” wrote Sanctuary Cruises in an Instagram post sharing the video, which ended up getting picked up by several news outlets.
