A black bear in Colorado is gaining weight for the winter and doing a superb job at it. Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) spotted the “thicc boi” on a trail cam and shared photos and videos of the black bear on social media. Several media outlets picked up the footage, making this successful bear an internet star.

“We thought we had seen really fat Durango bears before. But this one takes the cake,” wrote CPW Southwest Region on X. “It also probably ate the cake. Every cake.”
The jokes didn’t end there. CPW also wrote: “When he sits, how does he not just roll over?”
In the X thread, CPW shares a photo of the large bear, followed by trail-cam footage of the bear sitting up and looking around. CPW also shares additional video clips of the bear eating.
