kershaw reverb review

Kershaw Reverb: Review

Here’s something that I’ve noticed over the past few years: I don’t usually need a large knife for most camp tasks. I’m usually cutting rope, carving a marshmallow stick, or opening a package of hotdogs. In all of these cases, a smaller two to three-inch blade works great. I also want it to be accessible, and that’s why I’ve been liking the Kershaw Reverb.

The Kershaw Reverb is a smaller, carabiner-style knife that only weighs 1.6 oz. It has a G10 handle with a carbon fiber overlay that looks great and keeps the knife lightweight. There’s a deep carry pocket clip, and my favorite part of the knife – the carabiner. I just love being able to snap a knife off my belt loop on my hip when I need it. The reason I like the carabiner-style of carry because I always have things in both of my pockets. I don’t want my EDC to scratch up my phone, and my keys are usually in my other pocket. So, for me this style of knife is perfect. The Kershaw Reverb has a 2.5-inch 8Cr13MoV blade that I thought was easy to sharpen. I also like the fact that the frame lock is more accessible than many others. Sometimes you have to dig your fingernail in to close them, but the Reverb is recessed in that area so it’s very easy to use.

If you’re looking for a lightweight, sturdy knife for the trail that you can clip to your pack, the Kershaw Reverb is worth a look.
