Celebrities enjoying the outdoors is a fun reminder that they’re just regular people—except they’re famous. Fish don’t care, though. Kid Rock posted a couple of photos from a fishing trip on Lake Michigan, and he snagged a couple of great catches.

“Summertime in Northern Michigan!” the singer-songwriter wrote in an X post from earlier today. “Nothing better than fresh Lake Trout and King Salmons from Lake Michigan! Fish on!”
Lake trout are a native species that live in all five Great Lakes. They typically grow to be about 3 feet long.
King salmon or “chinook” salmon aren’t native to the Great Lakes; humans introduced them there on purpose. Fishermen prize these fish, and they can be difficult to catch and reel in. Looks like Kid Rock snagged at least one, though.
Whether you fish or not, it’s easy to relate to Kid Rock’s enthusiasm after spending a late-summer day out of the lake enjoying some time in nature.

We imagine that out in nature, celebrities get a chance to feel more like regular humans, and that must be appealing.
If you could go fishing with a celebrity, who would you pick?

Nice fish bro! My best catch was a 47Lb salmon at the spill way, on the Feather River, in Oroville CA. On a bass rod, 12lb test.
