A 14-year-old Corbett, Oregon boy did not likely have “get trapped in blackberry bushes” on his Bingo card for 2026, and yet, that’s exactly what happened to him. The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office announced the successful rescue effort, saying the young teen was exploring the woods near his home when he got stuck in an a heavily wooded area.

“Two deputies quickly launched their drones and made visual contact with the teen, confirming he was staying in one place,” wrote the Sheriff’s Office in a social-media post. “Search teams on the ground . . . discovered the teen was surrounded by an exceptionally thick barrier of blackberry bushes. The search and rescuers used cutting tools to clear the brush.”
Thankfully, the search-and-rescue team reached the boy and helped him out of the situation. He was uninjured.
