A wildlife photographer captured a bizarre scene in the Kalahari Desert and shared it to social media. In the footage from Matthew Holland, a pack of African wild dogs chased their prey, a type of African antelope called a kudu, straight into a small swimming pool=.

The kudu positions itself in the middle of the small pool as the wild dogs circle intently.

“While in the Kalahari this epic scene took place where a pack of 17 Wild dog, managed to chase a female kudu into the swimming pool,” wrote Holland in an Instagram post sharing the footage.
When asked in the comments section what happened next, Holland shared that the predators got their prey in the end, inferring that the wild dogs eventually went in after the kudu. That part isn’t in the video, though.
