The Peak Design Capture P.O.V. is a super solid mount option for action cameras or point-and-shoot cameras. You never know when you’re going to experience something amazing so be prepared with a camera to capture these moments. The problem with most mounts is the limitations they have. This Capture P.O.V. can attach to any strap and allow you to get the shot you’re looking for by attaching to your belt, backpack strap or snowboarding boot. Seriously, everything about this product was thought through and designed for functionality and ease-of-use. If it’s got a strap, this thing will connect to it.
Appearance: This thing is solid. Plane and simple. Even from the packaging everything looks and feels top quality. There are so many cheep action camera mounts on the market that usually do their job, but we have not come across any that are built this well. The Capture P.O.V. has strong, clean lines with machined metal parts. The detail and thoughtfulness put into this product is truly impressive.
Ease Of Use: We were very impressed how easy this product was to use right out of the box. Without looking at the instructions we were able to put it together and attach it to a backpack strap. You seriously cannot mess this up. It amazed us that you could slide the adaptor plate into the clip in any direction. Also, if anything needs to be tightened, you have a tool that’s included to tighten any bolt or screw in the package.
Functionality: There are a number of things that set the Peak Design Capture P.O.V. apart from their action camera mount competitors. For one, the number of accessories included in the package will allow the user to attach this clip to any strap. From the J-arm attachment to the Stabilizer pad to the wrench with a hex key and screw tightener, there was nothing they overlooked. On top of it all the capture wrench opens beer bottles. Crazy! And if you come across a strap that’s a little to thick for the attached screws, it comes with long ones. Clearly, functionality was their number one priority with appearance and ease of use thrown in there as extra goodies.
Value: The Peak Design Capture P.O.V. is a little steep at $69.95, but does come with a lifetime warranty on all parts. This is the best and most versatile action camera mount we have seen and a lot of thought and concept design went into this ingenious adaptor.
