Agnius “Aggy” Narkevicius is a wildlife and nature photographer who recently had the opportunity to photograph a rare hybrid fox in the wilds of the Canadian Arctic. Narkevicius believes the animal is a mix between a red fox and a silver fox. Its striking appearance was borderline creepy, the photog admits.

“I never imagined to capture such a rare animal in the wild . . . and with modeling experience??” wrote Narkevicius in his Instagram post sharing the incredible photos. “[The fox] was checking me out a few times and some pictures were taken less than 10m [33 feet] away. Not gonna lie, it was a bit uncomfortable to shoot such a mysterious animal from that distance. We have plenty of red foxes here in Whitehorse, but none of the local foxes have such a human-like look. The way it looked at me is hard to describe.”
