The National Park Service (NPS) just released visitation numbers from 2025, including a ranking of the U.S. parks by the number of visits. The most-visited park last year was Great Smoky Mountains National Park in North Carolina and Tennessee, followed by Zion National Park in Utah. The least-visited park was Kobuk Valley National Park in Alaska.

The data suggests there were 323 million recreational visits to NPS-managed sites during 2025. That’s fewer visits than 2024, which had  8.85 million more visits (2.7% more).
