Skyway Camping Resort NY

Camp New York: I’m talking with David today. He’s the Owner at Skyway Camping Resort in New York. David, why don’t you get us started with how long the resort has been there and how you got started?

Videos by Outdoors

David: The resort has been in existence since 1969, and it’s been family run ever since then, when my dad and my mom started the Park at that time.

CNY: Okay, and what types of camping do you offer there?

David: We offer full hook-ups for tents, motorhomes, (Unclear 00:32.4), and we specialize in seasonal camping and park model seasonal camping.

CNY: Okay. And what are the most popular activities for the guests there?

David: We have music dances. We have activities that feature some food. We have activity programs for adults and for kids. And we have some nice sports facilities. Tennis (Unclear 00:58.5), bocce ball, and handball.

CNY: Okay. And what are some of your favorite attractions in and around that area, Dave?

David: Definitely Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. Monticello gaming. We have great hiking at Lake (Unclear 1:15.7) and Sands Point, and those are very close by.

CNY: Two more questions for you, Dave. If you were going to spend just one hour at Skyway Camping Resort in New York, how would you spend your time there?

David: Sunning myself on a sun bed with a mountain view, and our swimming pool and hot tub.

CNY: That sounds like pure bliss. And if you could spend just one night at Skyway Camping Resort, which specific site would you choose and why?

David: It depends on what type of camping equipment.

CNY: Let’s say you were tenting.

David: Our Valley sites are very nice. Our BB Section is close to the bathhouse. There’s stuff that are private.

CNY: Perfect. Well, thank you for those tips, Dave, and thank you for taking some time out of your day to chat with us about Skyway Camping Resort in New York.

David: Okay.
