At least five hikers died when a snowstorm hit Torres del Paine National Park in Chile earlier this week. All five were foreign tourists trekking in the park without a guide. At least four other people were evacuated from the area amidst heavy snowfall and winds up to 118 miles per hour.

Visit South America suggests the hikers who died were on the famed O-Trek, a 73.5-mile loop through the park’s stunning landscape. The deceased included citizens of Mexico, Germany, and the U.K. Search, rescue, and evacuation efforts are still underway.
