You’ve seen them…everywhere. Tentsile has been making tree tents, and garnering the cameras of photographers and Instagrammers everywhere. They’re just plain cool. Alongside their full lineup of tents, sits the often overlooked Tentsile T-Mini Hammock. It’s strange, on a lot of websites, the T-Mini Hammock is listed as a “kids hammock”. However, a quick review of the specs, and you’ll see it’s built for up to two adults, with a max weight capacity of 485lbs.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, the Tentsile T-Mini has quickly grown to become one of our favorite campsite hangouts…literally. Unlike some of the more robust Tentsile tents, the T-Mini uses a WebLock system, making it easy to setup and takedown anywhere you can find three strong anchor points. On our recent trip around Lake Michigan, the Tentsile T-Mini became a mid-day refuge as we had it setup in a deep grove of pine trees. It wasn’t uncommon to find a member of the 50 Campfires crew catching a quick snooze.
Unlike a traditional hammock, the T-Mini is taught – and provides far greater support. Not to mention, laying suspended between trees, and feeling the breeze against your back is a great feeling.
If you’re looking for a show stopper at the campsite, that weighs in at just 4lbs – the Tentsile T-Mini hammock is definitely worth your time.
