Some cats in Indonesia made some unlikely friends—Asian vine snakes. The cats and their “pet” snakes seem inseparable. Sometimes, the snakes even ride around on the cats, and the cats don’t seem to mind at all. Have you ever seen anything like this?

A TikToker and YouTuber who goes by @hefriadi5z shares videos of the cats and snakes living in close quarters, and the videos get thousands, sometimes millions of views. In one video making the rounds right now, a black cat walks and sits nonchalantly as a green vine snake wraps itself around its body—as if the cat were wearing it. Another video shows a similar dynamic, except this time the snake is draped across the cat’s face. Weird.
In another video with nearly 51 million views, several cats play with a green vine snake in a bush. Asian vine snakes are nonvenomous and therefore not dangerous, but it’s still odd that the cats are so comfortable around their slithering companions.
